Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL)
Kalpavriksha Trust is a proud supporter of the Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL)—a grassroots sports movement that promotes youth engagement and community bonding through volleyball. As part of our commitment to rural youth development, KT has adopted an all girls team from Balitara village, providing them with mentorship, logistical support, and access to sporting opportunities. Through this initiative, KT contributes to nurturing talent, instilling discipline, and fostering social inclusion in rural Assam.
Sponsor of BVL Team
In a village where structured sports opportunities were almost non-existent for girls, Kalpavriksha Trust made a bold move — to adopt and sponsor the Under-16 Girls Volleyball Team in Balitara Village, Nalbari District, Assam.
This initiative became part of the Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) — a grassroots sports movement that celebrates rural talent. For many of these young girls, this wasn’t just their first league — it was their first real chance to believe in themselves.
Why This Matters
Sports have the power to uplift, especially in places where opportunities are few and far between. For girls in rural Assam, participating in professional sports is often a distant dream. Through this adoption, Kalpavriksha Trust helps bridge that gap by providing training, gear, and most importantly — belief.
With confidence and skills built from consistent training, the girls played matches both at home and in invited locations. Many of them had never stepped onto a professional court before. Today, they are inspiring not just their peers — but their entire village.
Kalpavriksha Trust continues to mentor and support these young athletes as they grow in skill and spirit.
